Jonny Chase started J. Chase Associates after leading a team of 56 personnel as Program Manager for a Prime Contract with Navy ERP. He brings experience and expert knowledge of the fields of Project Management, Risk Management, and Training.
Mr. Chase has been certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as both a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2006 and a Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) since 2009.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Mr. Chase holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He left the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Warfare Qualified Officer after serving aboard a Fast-Attack Nuclear Submarine. He is a combat veteran who completed tomahawk missile launches during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2008, Jonny Chase earned his MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Chase has extensive experience as a Program Manager on ACAT I government programs. He was a PM for TEAMSUBS at the Washington Navy Yard and Navy ERP in Annapolis, MD.
As the Navy ERP Risk Manager for 2 1/2 years, Jonny gained hands-on experience in all stages of the Risk Process from Creation to Retirement. He was also one of the first to receive the PMI-RMP designation.
Mr. Chase has demonstrated his expertise as a trainer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) by creating outstanding training material for a variety of organizations. He has been utilized by PMI to help create test questions for the PMP exam (Dallas, TX). He has also edited exams for the Veterans Affairs (VA) in the areas of Project Management, Acquisition, and Contracting. Currently, he is teaching a Contracting Officer's Representative Level II certification course (FAC-COR II) to government members of the VA. He is also an adjunct professor at the United States Naval Academy and tutors Midshipmen in Calculus I, Calculus II, and Statistics.
